South Yorkshire Sustainability Centre

Project Duration: 2022-2026

CRESR is leading the just transition programme within the South Yorkshire Sustainability Centre, a cross-sector partnership involving Sheffield Hallam University, University of Sheffield, SYMCA and wide range of public, voluntary and private sector partners. The just transition programme includes the following research activities:

  • Industrial decarbonisation and its implications for place and work
  • Engaging and supporting Small and Medium Enterprise decarbonisation
  • Retrofit governance for just transitions
  • Tackling high consumption
  • Young people visions for a sustainable future

The project team also includes Drew Woodhouse, Elpida Apostolopoulou and Amy Grace (Sheffield Hallam University).
