Holding onto Home: Tenancy Sustainment in Social Housing

Project Director: Paul Hickman
Project Duration: 2022-2024

This study is exploring tenancy sustainment in social housing, focused on the experiences of tenants receiving Universal Credit or Housing Benefit. By exploring the experiences and behaviours of tenants and landlords, the research will provide evidence and guidance to improve landlords’ tenancy sustainment policies and practices.

In August 2022, the Holding on to Home dedicated website was launched, which contains further project information, news and publications.

The project team also includes Maddy Arden, Laura Kilby, Tony Manzi, Martin Lamb, Peter Thomas. Other partners are Qa Research; the Chartered Institute of Housing; and the Housing Quality Network.
