Evaluating Places for People’s Community Champions Initiative

Project Director: Stephen Green
Project Duration: 2012

Places for People's Community Champions Initiative is an educational programme delivered to Year 6 pupils in primary schools. Over eight sessions pupils consider the kind of neighbourhood they want to live in and their involvement in it. This typically includes issues such as dealing with peer pressure, facing choices and understanding the consequences of one's actions.

This project aims to evaluate the initiative and understand the impact that is has on participants, neighbourhood communities and on Places for People. In particular, Places for People are keen to improve the way that community investment activities of this kind are measured, and better demonstrate effectiveness.
