What is the Graduate Mentoring Scheme?
The Graduate Mentoring Scheme provides Hallam undergraduate degree holders the chance to connect with experienced professionals who can share their career journeys, offer industry insights, and help graduates develop skills to enhance their employability. Applications are now open and will close on Friday 14 February for our second intake in March 2025.

Participation Requirements
To take part you must be:
· A graduate from the classes 2024 and have studied an undergraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University.
· Able to attend one compulsory mentee inductions and commit to at least four mentor meetings during the 12-week scheme.
· Dedicated to the mentoring process, maintaining regular contact with your mentor.
In your application form, please explain:
· The sector you're interested in working in.
· Your potential career ideas.
The scheme will match you with mentors to you based on your application answers.
Note that participation is competitive with only 30 spaces available, prioritising graduates who studied an undergraduate course from the graduating classes of 2023 and 2024. Applications from postgraduate students cannot be accepted. Complete you application here.

Mentor Link is a structured course designed to equip you with the skills needed to build successful mentoring relationships. The course includes:
· Introduction and Five Sessions covering mentor-mentee roles, self-awareness, objective setting, mentor searching, and approaching techniques.
· Skill Development: Enhance business communication, confidence, networking, and professionalism.
· Find Your Own Mentor: Develop the confidence and skills to seek out mentors.
· Flexible Learning: Complete the programme at your own pace.
· Career Readiness: Prepare yourself for professional success.
· Reflective Learning: Reflect on and apply your learning experiences.
Any Sheffield Hallam University graduate, from any course at any level, can participate in Mentor Link without needing to apply.
