How our construction students fill an industry skills gap
BAM Construction work with Sheffield Hallam to provide important real-world experiences for our students.
During the construction of our world-leading Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre, our students monitored and recorded the progress of the works. It allowed them to act as project managers for a real firm before they’d even left uni.
In return, BAM got a cost-effective resource, some great new ideas for their projects, and a chance to build the future of their industry.
They say
“Sheffield Hallam does attract some of the best students in the industry, and they industry leaders in terms of a silo to the construction industry.
I expected the students would be very good. And they’ve proved this through this learning.”
