Located in the heart of the UK, Sheffield is one of England's largest cities, with excellent road, rail and air networks. By train, we're just 2 hours from London, 3.5 hours from Edinburgh and have direct rail links with Manchester Airport. Junction 33 of the M1 is just ten minutes away.

One of the greenest cities in Europe, Sheffield is also nicknamed ‘the outdoor city’, perfect for outdoor adventure and sports enthusiasts. The city itself is full of parks, gardens and wide open spaces. And if that's not enough, a third of the city is situated within the Peak District National Park.
The city has a strong sporting heritage that includes the first official football club – Sheffield FC and two current football league clubs in Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United. The World Snooker Championships are also famously played at the Crucible Theatre and the city is also home to professional rugby and ice hockey teams – Sheffield Eagles and Sheffield Steelers respectively.
