The opening of our Centre of Excellence for Degree Apprenticeships

Friday 31 August 2018

The new academic year will see the opening of a new Centre of Excellence for Degree Apprenticeships. Situated in Pond Hill, The Centre aims to provide tailored learning spaces for the University's growing community of new apprentices. The Centre will also form part of the Knowledge Gateway project led by Sheffield City Council aimed at transforming the corridor running along the Lower Sheaf to the Porter Valley.

Sheffield Hallam is one of the leading providers of degree apprenticeships, offering programmes in a wide array of subjects such as construction, engineering, finance, food technology, hospitality and health care. The opening of the new centre marks a significant investment in support for businesses, particularly those based in the Sheffield City Region, ensuring we can continue to develop the skills needed to generate growth and future talent in applied academic subjects.

Alumni can engage in the new Centre too. If you are interested in finding out about degree apprenticeships, or would like your organisation to get involved, please click here to discover more.

Sheffield Hallam University hosted the Higher Degree Apprenticeship conference earlier this year and the profits associated with this were kindly donated to The Hallam Fund. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the delegates and their organisations for this contribution which will support initiatives in the University working with students.
