What my job involves

A Mind Apart is a performing arts company. We specialise in alternative education and working with young people who are excluded from school or on the verge of leaving school. They don't have dreams or visions, and they don't feel listened to so we give them space where they can develop those things.

How Sheffield Hallam helped me.

Sheffield Hallam was the perfect place for me to do my masters alongside running my business based in the city. It made studying easier as I had access to everything I needed on my doorstep. My lecturers allowed me to have necessary extensions when my business occasionally had to come first, and supported the growth of my business by sharing what I do with their networks in and out of the University. Not only did I develop skills that have since benefited my career, I also built new networks and contacts.
