In March Jayne Stocks, principal lecturer and SBS SE Asia regional lead, delivered a presentation on study at Sheffield Business School and a taster lecture entitled ‘Sustainability in tourism and hospitality in the 21st century’ at the British Council in Bangkok.

The event was well attended by around 50 guests. These ranged from current Thai students to a number of academics and government representatives. Amongst the audience were two Sheffield Hallam tourism PhD alumni who are now lecturers in Thailand. Both students had Professor Bill Bramwell as their director of studies. Pictured with Jayne is alumnus Rachaporn (Jeed) Chansawang who graduated in 2011 and is a lecturer in the School of Management Science at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. And Nipon Chuamuangphan who graduated in 2009 and is a lecturer at Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University.
