For the third event in the Inclusive Hallam series, leadership coach Kul Mahay joined us again to follow up the first ‘Let’s Get Comfortable Talking About Race’ session he facilitated in July 2020.
Kul explored with the audience, through the lens of race, what we can all do to lead inclusively. Using examples, he examined what leading inclusively looks like and how this can be a powerful tool in addressing structural racism. Kul also explore what we mean when we talk about ‘leaders’ and how we must all take responsibility for our actions as we all have influence.
The session also explored intersectionality and how inclusive leadership can benefit everyone’s experience.
During the second part of the session the audience participated in smaller group discussions about their own experiences and what we can each do to be part of the solution.
