Senior Lecturer & MSc Course Leader

Summary

Vincent Traynor is a highly experienced and qualified executive coach, team coach, educator and academic course leader working with executives, teams and organisations. He has held senior positions in consultancy, telecoms and education, and has worked with clients in the private sector, local government, education, health, faith-based organisations and sport.

Academic Leadership in Coaching

Vincent is the Course Leader for Sheffield Hallam University’s MSc in Coaching & Mentoring and he teaches mature professionals to become competent, confident and ethical executive and team coach practitioners.

He has doubled student intake since taking on this role, and has transformed the quality of the programme and levels of observed practice and supervision. He has also led it to gain professional accreditation by the European Mentoring & Coaching Council, becoming the only university programme in western Europe with this prestigious kite mark. He is gaining EMCC accreditation to become an Assessor of professional practice.

Executive Coach and Team Coach

People choose Vincent as an Executive Coach because he's an exceptionally good listener, he helps people work with their thoughts and emotions to grasp and accept their situation, and he supports, challenges and motivates them to shift to a better place.

His work as a Team Coach is based on four principles: acknowledging the team's successes and strengths; building relationships and trust in the team; helping the team define the underlying issues holding them back, and building the team's confidence to try new things in different ways.
