Summary
I have contributed to International education developments within the Faculty due to my specialist interest in International and Global nursing practice. I am currently undertaking a Doctorate in Education. My research focus is the Professionalism of Iraq Nurses and how this can be acquired through continuing professional development.
About
I am an Adult Registered Nurse and my clinical background includes Burns and Reconstructive Surgery, General Surgery, Intensive Care and Vascular Surgery. My clinical interests included acute pain management and nutrition. I have been a Nursing Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University since 1999. During this time I have undertaken a number of roles including Course Leader, Module Leader, Academic Advisor and Link Lecturer and External Examiner. I am currently a module leader within the BSc. Nursing Curriculum and have helped to develop an innovative and creative teaching package around Evidence Based Caring for final year student nurses. I am the Link Lecturer for Nottingham Healthcare NHS Trust and Link with clinical areas in Retford, Bassetlaw and Worksop.
