Summary
I am a member of the Financial and Management Accounting Group in the Business School. I have taught across the portfolio with expertise in taxation and financial management. My academic career began in Physics before I retrained as an accountant. I spent 8 years working as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor for PwC, dealing with individuals’ tax affairs, plus accounting and tax issues for SMEs and listed companies. On leaving PwC, I worked with local charities and small businesses on their accounts and business processes.

Qualifications: 1991: D.Phil. in Atomic Physics, Oxford University; 1988: B.A. in Physics, Oxford University. Member of professional body: 1995 to 2000: ACA, Institute of Chartered Accounts of England and Wales; 1996 to 2000: CTA, Chartered Tax Advisor. Teaching expertise: Senior lecturer, with particular expertise in taxation and financial management.
