I am a registered Paramedic currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice.
About
My clinical background is in pre-hospital care as a Paramedic. Since qualifying as a Paramedic i have worked as a Paramedic Clinical Educator, Clinical Supervisor. Before joining Sheffield Hallam I was Clinical Development Manager for Yorkshire Ambulance Service where I delivered Clinical Supervision and Leadership to the Clinical Supervisor team including training on advanced critical care skills and developing the clinical competency portfolios.
I took a clinical fellowship with the Humber Coast and Vale Major Trauma Network and worked on the level 1 Trauma course development along with developing a multi agency major trauma prevention group. I am an Instructor for the Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) in Adult Life Support and European Paediatric Life Support and I teach the Generic Instructor Course for the RCUK and International for the European Resuscitation Council teaching in Scandinavia and Vietnam.
Teaching
I teach on a number of Advanced Practice modules including Managing the Acutely Unwell Adult, Advanced Physical Assessment and Consultation Skills and Non-Medical prescribing.
