About

Prior to working at Sheffield Hallam Samantha taught and led departments at middle and senior level in Art, Expressive Arts and Maths, with pastoral responsibilities at Post-16 and whole school Staff Training. In recent years, Samantha has been responsible as a Centre Manager for Teacher Education for leading the PGCE in Lifelong Learning at a local college (Levels 5 to 7) in conjunction with another university, in addition to FE courses (Entry to Level 4), whilst undertaking PhD research and working as a Visiting Moderator for GCSE Art and Design.

The experience of successfully leading departments in teacher education, arts and maths,  has offered different perspectives of teaching, learning and assessment, which now shapes Samantha's research and practice.
