Summary
I qualified in 1993 from the University of Sheffield with a Diploma in Social Work and an MA in Applied Social Studies. I have worked in a number of roles within children and families including Social Worker, Practice Educator, and Social Work Consultant, as well as policy and management roles. I joined Sheffield Hallam University in 2018 initially as a part time secondment from practice and as a full-time member of staff in 2022.
About
I take a lead role in teaching children and families practice, law, and social work theories. I teach across a number of courses and became the Course Leader for the BSc Health and Social Care Studies Top Up course in 2022. Since joining the Sheffield Hallam University I have been part of research groups exploring communities of belonging around drink and also research exploring the retention of children and families social workers.
