About
Worked at SHU since 2016 as a Senior Lecturer, Module Leader and Course Leader within the department. Teaching across a range of course and module areas with a particular interest in child safeguarding law, Early Help interventions with families and the national Troubled Families Programme.
Specialised in Child Protection when completing the MA / Diploma in Social Work at Hull University in 1994. Subsequently qualifying as a Practice Educator for social work placement, completed post graduate management & leadership training and contributed to local and national training delivery for frontline practitioners. A wide range of practice experience over a 22 year period - including Children & Families Social Work, Charitable Project Management (Action for Children), Sure Start Programme Manager, Multi-Agency Team Management and operational lead for the Sheffield Troubled Families Programme ('Building Successful Families').
