About
Founder and creative director of dust, Patrick began a career in design academia; A 30yr tour of the M1, Barnsley, Sheffield, Leeds, London, then back to Sheffield to establish dust in 2000; eyes opened between airports and train stations; a healthy appetite for good food produced by passionate people with the food and people in mind; kind of learning from my mistakes; never let the dog on the bed, not even once; weighs brilliance over convention — with nothing to interrupt the seeing there is nothing to see; weighs engagement over brilliance — no one looking no one cares; believes that design is a vital mechanism for change, not just a haircut and a new pair of shoes — although sometimes there's nothing finer. It's one long sentence, welcome to the end — paragraphs and full stops may have left you none the wiser.
