Summary
I am a child nurse by background. Since completing my undergraduate studies, I have been passionate to pursue a career in education, so I am currently living the dream! Outside of work, I have a love for all things cats and crafts.
About
Once I had completed my BSc in Child Nursing in 2016 at the University of Bedfordshire, I moved to Sheffield to start my career at Sheffield Children's Hospital. I worked on a children's medical ward for a few years. Alongside this role, I then decided to work for OPAT (an outpatient IV service). Over the coming years, I then slowly transitioned until I was working full time with OPAT.
I really loved visiting children in their home! Currently I am still employed by OPAT at Sheffield Children's Hospital, but I am seconded to SHU until July 2023. I work at SHU four days a week, excluding Wednesday's. If given the opportunity, I will likely stay with SHU for as long as possible. I have undertaken a single module of MSc and am keen to top up to the full qualification when I am able.
In my spare time I attend craft fairs, selling my handmade jewellery. My two cats always keep me on my toes and often like to be involved in video calls!
