Summary
I am a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing here at Sheffield Hallam. My clinical background is in critical care and I am passionate about pre and post- registration education.
About
I am an experienced module leader within the pre-registration curriculum, as part of this role I have been actively involved in developing, designing, validation and delivering modules at level four and five. I have an interest in teaching international students and was part of the module team developing a course for a group of students from Iraq, going on to lead the Critical Care strand of this course.
My main teaching interests lie with both acute care and long-term condition management. I am also involved in teaching practical skills, including Life Support and Resuscitation training to both pre and post registration students. I am currently leading a course for nurses and health visitors who wish to return to practice after a break in practice and/or lapsed NMC registration. This role involves working closely with practice partners across the region.
I cover several areas as a link lecturer supporting both mentors and students in the clinical area.

I am interested in the care of patients who are acutely unwell and also those with long-term conditions. I am currently teaching into the ISPN Modules (Level 5&7 ),which I feel accommodates my expertise, knowledge and interests.
