Summary

I have worked within the construction industry for twenty-four years in both local government and private sector, sixteen years (five different authorities) in local government as a Senior Building Control Surveyor on all types of industrial and commercial projects, and two years in private practice working for Butler and Young as a Project manager and Building control / Fire engineering consultant.

About

Main duties include preparation, delivery and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate mode of study within the built environment.

Also a module leader of several modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and also for distant learning students in Dubai and Sri Lanka.

Member of the editorial board journal of the Built Environment Research Transactions Sheffield Hallam University.

I am a Fellow of the Institute of higher education.

Give workshops to mature professional students on the responsible landlord scheme.

Organise site visits and field trips for undergraduates and cycle / recreation trips for visiting TARC students.
