About
Marie qualified in 2005 as an ODP securing a post at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. After consolidating her skills caring for patients in an adult setting with a wide range of differing specialities, she gained a Senior role at the Sheffield Children's Hospital (major trauma centre) in 2008. During this time Marie undertook on-call responsibilities, more complex care provision and some very challenging situations. This led to her deeper interest in paediatric care in the wider critical care setting.
Marie had found a desire for sharing her knowledge early on her career and decided to embark on her MSc in Healthcare Education in 2013, whilst continuing to work full time. In the same year she also secured the role of Clinical Educational Facilitator within the same paediatric trust.
