About
I am Professor of International Business Management at Sheffield Business School. My research interests lie in international business, management, and economics, with focus on foreign direct investment and emerging economies. My research has appeared in international impactful journals, including Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS), European Journal of Operational Research, Economic History Review, Management International Review, World Development, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Rural Studies, International Journal of Production Economics, among others. My work has received international recognition including “JIBS Decade Award 2017”.
While publishing in academic journals, I have been disseminating my research findings via authored book, book chapter, and international conference, such as Academy of Management (AoM), Academy of International Business (AIB), and European International Business Academy (EIBA). I have advised UK industry and government including UK Parliament's Treasury Committee.
I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). I have taught in various countries such as China, Vietnam, and Finland. I have received teaching awards in different universities. While supervising PhD and DBA research projects, I have served as an internal and external examiner and an independent chair for doctoral degree examinations in several UK HEIs. I have served various administrative roles including as a member of the university professoriate committee and the research lead of international business research cluster.
