Research

Liming's present research focuses primarily on the challenges of housing affordability: exploring the factors that have made home ownership increasingly unaffordable, identifying barriers that prevent younger generations from accessing the housing ladder, and examining the efficiency of housing assistance policies in alleviating housing struggles. Liming's research area now is further extended to exploring the housing precarity issues faced by disadvantaged groups, such as rural migrants and individuals facing challenges in the job market. Another area of Liming's research interest lies in the attractiveness and resilience of cities, particularly in how they adapt and respond to the influx of rural to urban migrants, and the housing challenges faced by this demographic.
