Dr Laia Darder
Summary
My experience teaching in higher education spans many years and many subjects, ranging from Catalan avantgarde poetry to sociolinguistics, from cinema to translation and interpreting, as well as Spanish and Catalan language at all levels.
I like to explore the world through my research, and untangle the way human nature is expressed through language. By exploring linguistic relationships in Spanish, Catalan and English I aim to help explain how human relationships are established through language in terms of power, prestige and how social change may occur.
