Summary
I am a senior lecturer on the occupational therapy team. I teach into the BSc (Hons) and the MSc pre-reg Occupational Therapy programmes. I am particularly interested in creative activities and the impact of the arts on wellbeing and health.
I have been involved in several research projects working with older people in residential care. My practice experience is with older people in both physical and mental health care fields. I supervise doctoral students in both the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing and Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities

I have extensive teaching experience in the occupational therapy, specialising in creative activities, theoretical and philosophical underpinnings to the profession, the complexities of placement learning and qualitative research methods.

2009 - 2010 East Midlands Teaching Public Health funded project with Frances Gordon 'Promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing in Older Carers'.
2012 - 14 Arts and Wellbeing Film club for health and social care staff and students
2014, 2015 Organised performances of dementia awareness play 'Grandma remember me' for health and social care staff and students.
I was recently given the University Inspirational Teaching Award
