Jo Posnett MSc, DiP
Head of Academic Planning and Delivery
Summary
I qualified as a therapeutic radiographer in 1991 and enjoyed my clinical work at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, culminating in a joint post with Leeds University giving equal priority to both NHS activity and the University priorities. I moved full time to academia in 2002 when I started as a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University.
About
Whilst in the radiotherapy and oncology team I have occupied various roles including clinical lead, course leader and professional lead. I increasingly developed a passion for staff management and development and have occupied a series of senior management positions.
Following a restructure, I am now the Head of Academic Delivery and Planning, I am very lucky to work with a broad range of professionals in Allied Health, Social Work, Nursing and Midwifery.
My focus is supporting staff to deliver high quality, contemporary programmes of study that feed the workforce that provides health care to the people across the country and internationally.
Specialist areas of interest
Jo's main teaching areas are portfolio theory and development, pebblePAD, reflective practice, personal and professional development and clinical education.
