Dr Jillian Newton
Research Fellow, Contract Research and Consultancy Lead
Summary
My principle background is in MALDI-MS initially proteomics before moving onto MALDI-MS imaging. I have experience in MALDI, DESI and ICP imaging techniques as well associated techniques and software.
About
I work within the Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre as a contract researcher, working with industry, external and internal university researchers, NHS trusts and charities etc. creating bespoke projects that help to solve scientific questions. My principal research interest area is all things mass spectrometry in particular imaging modalities and how these can link together to provide multimodal data that in turn will help create a bigger picture which works well with my involvement as co-lead of the Sheffield Multimodal Imaging Centre (SMIC).
