Principal Lecturer and Subject Group Leader for Events Management at Sheffield Business School, with over 20 years prior industry experience retail, adventure activities, events delivery and consultancy in public, private and non-profit sectors. She has been delivering events management education at Sheffield Hallam University since 2004, specialising in event design, risk management, and for the last 12 years has led student live event projects, as well as continuing industry work with events and festivals throughout the year. Jane is undertaking professional doctorate research into tacit knowledge management in independent music festivals.
