Summary
Greg is the Director of Place and Civic Engagement. He joined Sheffield Hallam as Director of South Yorkshire Futures in May 2017 and now leads place and civic engagement within the university.
About
Greg has an extensive background in leading policy development and implementation in central government. Before joining Sheffield Hallam, he was Deputy Director Performance and Analysis at the Department for Education leading on Teacher recruitment. He was previously Deputy Director, Worklessness, Regeneration and Disadvantaged Groups within the Government Office for the North West.
In this role he led a unit set up to address worklessness and social exclusion in the North West. He was also responsible for managing the relationship between the ten Greater Manchester Local Authorities and Whitehall.
Greg’s previous roles include a period at the Learning and Skills Council where he was responsible for the implementation of Education Maintenance Allowance.
He holds an MBA from Sheffield Hallam University.
