Dr Emma Jenkins

Summary
I am an experienced academic and fashion practitioner with a particular interest in sportswear design and function. Prior to entering academia I worked in industry as a designer and product developer for established outdoor sports brands.
I am interested in the making and functionality of outdoor sportswear, with a particular focus on comfort and movement. My current work explores purpose and dynamics, using a zero waste approach to design. I am exploring the synthesis of traditional analogue techniques with contemporary digital systems to develop new modes of sustainable performance.
