Elizabeth Sanderson

Senior Research Fellow

Summary

Elizabeth Sanderson is a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research based within the Centre’s Inclusive Economy research cluster. She has over a decade of research experience and has worked across a variety of research and evaluation projects for numerous clients including voluntary and community sector organisations, councils, and government organisations.

About

A significant proportion of the projects Elizabeth has worked on have been in the areas of welfare, labour markets and employment. She has considerable experience in evaluating employment programmes and the development of monitoring and data collection systems and tools. Recent work has focused on evaluating employment programmes seeking to address health issues. She is currently coordinating the quantitative element of the evaluation of This-Ability, a National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) programme being delivered in the Humber to young people with a disability/learning disability or difficulty or a long-term health condition who require additional support in accessing and gaining employment. She is also part of the team at CRESR working with the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority on research for the South Yorkshire Good Work Commission.

Much of her experience has utilised quantitative techniques although she also has experience using qualitative methods. Elizabeth is currently in the process of undertaking a PhD exploring the ongoing challenge of youth unemployment and how young people can be supported into work.
