About
Chrissie is a Senior Lecturer and Module Leader within the department. Chrissie teaches across a range of modules with particular interests and specialisms in psycho-social approaches, therapeutic interventions, group work, substance misuse and offending behaviours.
Chrissie specialised within criminal justice whilst completing her MA in Social Work at Nottingham University alongside the Diploma in Social Work in 1996. Chrissie subsequently completed the MA Module in Practice Education in 2011 and is also an Independent Practice Educator supervising students on practice placements in the Voluntary Sector.
Chrissie started working as a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at SHU in September 2013. Prior to this she occupied an extensive range of social work roles including Team Manager, Youth Project Manager, Senior Practitioner within substance misuse, youth justice services and adolescent and children's provisions.
