About
Bridget qualified as a Social Worker in 2009 after completing an MA in social work with the University of Manchester. Since then her career in practice has focused predominantly on working with children, young people and families in different settings, including Youth Justice, Duty and Assessment and the NSPCC. Whilst in practice Bridget subsequently worked as an Operational Manager at Tameside Youth Justice Service, taking a lead role on Out of Court work, with a specific interest in early intervention for young people, trauma informed approaches and complex safeguarding. Bridget is a Practice Educator for social work students and began her career in higher education at Nottingham Trent University where she worked as a Lecturer in Social Work and taught across BA, MA and Apprenticeship social work courses, including being module lead.
