About
Amanda's role is to provide strategic direction for Sheffield Hallam's National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering (NCEFE) and specifically for research and innovation activities which deliver healthy sustainable innovations for the food and drink system. Having worked for blue chip food manufacturing businesses in management roles for around ten years, she has worked in external engagement roles within the Higher Education sector for over 15 years and has been part of NCEFE since its launch in July 2014. Her areas of expertise include: food system and sector knowledge; brokering relationships with internal, regional, national and international partners in the food supply chain, academia and sector bodies; leveraging funding to facilitate research and innovation activities; and Identifying potential applications of research and innovation expertise for the food system.
