About
As Impact Manager I work with researchers across the University to support the development of an impact culture. This involves developing and delivering training on research impact, supporting funding applications and identifying opportunities for maximising impact beyond academia.
I provide specialist advice and support for researchers and Unit of Assessment Co-ordinators preparing impact case studies for submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
In 2014 I was seconded to HEFCE to support the assessment phase of REF2014 for Main Panel D, Arts and Humanities and I am currently seconded to Research England to support preparations for REF2021. I am Panel Secretary to Main Panel A, Medicine, Health & Life Sciences and Sub-panel 7 Earth Systems and Environmental Science, Sub-panel 14 Geography and Environmental Studies and Sub-panel 30 Philosophy.
I am a member of ARMA and the Northern Impact Network.
