Doing Data Differently - project teachers gather for first meeting
Friday 15 June 2018
Temperatures were running high on 14 June for the first meeting of project teachers on the BA/Leverhulme funded project Doing Data Differently. Even though we were wilting from the heat and end-of-year fatigue, the enthusiasm for playing with data seems to be gaining momentum. We all experimented with data visualisation using project pens and postcards, starting to get a feel for how this might work. The idea's a simple one. We'll collect data on what matters to us in literacy teaching and explore representing that in different ways - on postcards, as in Dear Data. It's the beginning of a journey but we're already eager to know where it will lead.
