Representing Hallam Hackz, our dynamic team of four talented students pursuing an MSc in Cyber Security, Tabitha Oldfield, Arafat Lawal, Bhoomika Devaraj, and Amina Moallim, was expertly guided by our inspiring mentor, Tharmini Janarthanan.

After a highly competitive selection process, Hallam Hackz ranked within the 6th-10th group, demonstrating their skill and perseverance. While we narrowly missed the top five, this achievement is a powerful testament to the strength of our team and the immense potential we have to compete at the highest level.

The UK Cyber Leaders Challenge put participants through rigorous tests on real-world challenges, requiring them to provide recommendations to senior management based on a cybersecurity critical incident. Reaching the Regional Qualifiers placed Hallam Hackz among an elite group of teams tackling complex cybersecurity scenarios.

We have learned that success is built on continuous learning and growth. Our performance has laid a strong foundation, but it is just the beginning. We have refined our strategies, expanded our knowledge, and are more driven than ever to push ourselves further.

A heartfelt thank you to the organisers, judges, and partners - Cyber First, BT, BAE Systems, Beazley, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and Rapid7 - for the incredible workshops and invaluable opportunities to learn from the best in the industry.

We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our School leadership team, mentor, and supporters. This milestone is not just about what we have achieved but about the hard work, collaboration, and spirit of perseverance that got us here. We are more motivated than ever and incredibly proud of our accomplishments!
