Through our teaching and research, we aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment of patients by increasing the understanding of the molecular and cellular basis of disease. We also show how a range of chemical techniques are used in pharmaceutical, environmental and materials industries. The Department of Biosciences and Chemistry offers a
