How to format and submit your digital portfolio

We will be accepting portfolios through digital submission. If you are not able to submit your portfolio in this way, would like further support, or to arrange an alternative way for us to review your portfolio, please email myportfolio@shu.ac.uk and we will contact you to make alternative arrangements.

1. Putting together your portfolio

For guidance on what to include and how to organise your portfolio  See our guidance on Portfolio Reviews.

2. Linking to your digital portfolio

Your digital portfolio needs to be available for us to access online. There are many free online hosting platforms available, please select a platform that works best for you, see examples of platforms below.

You must make sure the link and any embedded links are publicly available to view to avoid any delays with your application. We recommend you test the link with peers, tutors before sending.

To host media files you can also use YouTube, Vimeo or SoundCloud.

Protecting Your Privacy
We recommend that you do not publish any personal details on your online portfolio. You may wish to title your portfolio with your UCAS number instead of your name.

3. Where to send your digital portfolio link

If your application is successful you will receive an email from admissions inviting you to submit a link to your portfolio.

4. Timelines for submitting your Portfolio

Please submit your portfolio within 10 working days from the receipt of your portfolio email request.

You can also view our UCAS timeline to see other key dates and deadlines.

5. Receiving an offer

After the portfolio review our offer will be communicated via UCAS track, so please check your account regularly.
