Hi Adam,
Here’s your round-up of everything you need to know and do in 80 seconds.
This week: |
You can now apply online for your student accommodation for next year. Our flexible application process means that you don't need to sign a contract or pay a deposit straight away. |
Need help managing your finances? Our online platform Blackbullion has 5-minute explainer videos, financial support articles, practical tools and daily prize draws. |
Here’s a reminder of our commitments to you. They focus on an inclusive Hallam community, course delivery and assessment, listening and responding to your feedback and providing support when you need it. |
Careers and employability |
In response to your feedback, we’re hosting 5 new workshops to help you get a job in your chosen field. The workshops take place before Christmas and are open to all students. |
This week, our final year students can attend a range of sessions to prepare for life after uni. Speak to our employability advisers, enterprise team and alumni to make the most of your final year support. |
If you’re struggling and need someone to talk to, Nightline is a student-run listening and information service, open every night of term. Talk to or message students about anything that is troubling you. You can also volunteer. |

MyHallam - your gateway to Blackboard, My Student Record and all your online tools including wellbeing support and resources.
The Library and Skills Centre - open 24/7 providing a range of learning spaces, including those for individual and group working. We encourage you to book your learning space in advance, but there will be walk up spaces available on a first come basis. The bookshelves are open for browsing and borrowing is self-service. You can make requests for books that we don't have with Document Supply Services. Your Library Online provides access to books, journals, databases, subject support, the Skills Centre, and 24/7 Library Chat.
