How does the past relate to the present? On our history courses you'll engage with the ideas and events that have shaped the modern world, with a particular focus on modern British, European and global history. Studying with leading historians, you'll examine a range of topics including empires, revolutions and their legacies; class and social justice; sex, gender and sexuality; globalisation and migration, and more.

As well as learning history through lectures and seminars, you'll also learn on field trips to places such as Manchester People's History Museum and the Museum of London.
