Schools and Colleges Liaison and Outreach

Schools and Colleges Liaison and Outreach at Sheffield Hallam University provides a single point of access for teachers and advisers looking to participate in engagement activity.

We aim to offer an inspiring and motivational programme of activity, designed to support all learners in making informed choices about higher education and their post-18 options.

All of our activity aligns to the Skills Builder Universal Framework and Gatsby Benchmarks.

Talks and Workshops

Our offer is divided into 3 strands; Deciding, Applying and Connecting. Each strand has talks and workshops for students in Y12 and above, covering each stage of their journey to higher education.

Our activity is designed to be delivered face-to-face, but many of our sessions can be adapted for virtual delivery too.

In addition to our core offer, we can attend careers and progression events within schools and colleges.

View our outreach offer on the SHUOutreach website. To discuss your requirements, contact us.

Subject Specific Activity

We work closely with academic departments across the university to offer a range of subject-specific talks, workshops and experiences.
This activity of often delivered at the university, giving students the opportunity to experience life as a Sheffield Hallam student. However, some activity can be delivered in schools and colleges.

Our team can work with you to develop a bespoke programme of on-campus activity for students In Y9 and above, combining general higher education messages and subject-specific activity.
